I ended up with the NOS Stihl 023C for a great price. However, it has the spur setup that I'd like to change over to a rim/drum. I noticed that Stihl offers a rim specific for Picco chain, the "P-7", which is supposedly different from the "3/8-7". Does anyone know if there is an after market manufacturer that makes a 3/8LP specific rim/drum set up for the 023? I've looked at Oregon, Herr and GB but I can't find anything other than with Stihl. I'm actually fine with that but, thought some of the aftermarkets might even be superior from threads I've read here. Perhaps it's not necessary? A Stihl rep told me the drive links were just a little different on the Picco and I don't want to goof anything up.
Thanks.

On Stihls, I think it is the size of the splines, small spline is a 3/4" while large is 7/8 I think, or something like that, Stihl has a size all their own, I think around 11/16 or something. its been awhile since I looked at the numbers, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Rim sprocket kit for the 021/23/25 are the same. The part number of the Picco KIT (drum, rim, washer and clip) is 1123 007 1001, and the 8 tooth .325 kit is -1002. I don't believe you can get the Picco kit, so just get the .325 kit and get you dealer to swap the .325 rim for the Picco.

Andy,
Cool, that's a great help! Thanks, as usual!
