I have my little Super 2 here, the older version of it not the newer one. UT# is 104544 I need to know what kind and size of clip to put on the crankshaft when I replace the sprocket. I recall reading the original clip is a one time use deal so I'd like to know what kind of E clip, or whatever I can use to hold the sprocket on with.

From the looks of the picture in the ipl,it looks like one of those "one way" clips. Not that it will help but the part number is 93972.

Older IPL lists the snap ring as part# 69743. Which was changed to # 93972.
Found no reference to it not being able to be reused. They do mention the clutch bearing having 21 needle rollers that could fall out upon removal. And if they fall out to replace the bearing.

Ok,then I'm just going to order a new sprocket, and replace the old one. thanks for the help guys.

one other question.

When I let the saw idle for awhile, then I rev it up, it smokes like mad for about 30 seconds or so, and clears out. I'm assuming somehow the oiler is letting bar lube get into the cylinder and burned off, but I'm not totally sure where I should start looking to find and fix the problem.

If you're getting bar oil in the engine, most likely its the duckbill valve in the oil tank. It uses crankcase pressure to pressurize the oil and the valve acts as a one-way mechanism. If its bad, the engine will draw bar oil into it and burn it, and it'll smoke like crazy.
