You must go to Crystal my favorite for terrain and vertical. Yea its quite around here when Mntgal and I have the saws shut off..That 66 twin pipe makes a little noise:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

True dat!!! Crustal's as good as any place anywhere...on a cold powder day!

Too bad they went and cut the crap outta "Roger's Run"

It made the best tight tree skiing the best open gladed stuff in the US of Eh!! eh?! 2000 vertical of 32 degree trees is only to be found in the Monashees, at $600 a day for the heli....or at Xtal!!

They cut so many trees in Left Angle that the FS fined 'em.....I'm sure they gladly paid it.

Here's Crystal ambassador Wayne Grevey cutting a big smear with Silver King in the background:

Later that day, we skiied 3700 vert down to Hwy 410....and went out to Goat Chutes, past Brand X. As Wayne was dropping into a 45 degree 1000 vert chute, 3 goats were in the backdrop of the photo...which I've never digitized.

Hey.....A half bottle of cabernet sauvignon to wash down a huge fillet of wild alaska coho was well earned, you vertically challenged clowns, you...

I got out of this li'l cottonwood at 7:30....cause I was yakking on the phone with my best consulting arbolist (a Bushism?) bud Scott Baker for 15 minutes while the wind was gently bending and twisting the tree..what fun...this was at the top of Somerset, with the best view of downtown Seattle and the Olympics this side of Mt Si...and then snapping pics for your vicarious thrills.... and taking pics of a very interesting growth/gall that was scattered here and there on the tree.

Job was to crown reduce it for neighbors' view....in a sensitive slope, so no removal or drastic topping allowed.

Then did a bid on the way home, started the salmon...and a pizza...and assembled the piped 5100 and took pics of it with its new mate.
