seriously?

you don't work in the rain? i thought we were all tough tree guys/girls? how do you make any money? we only take the ice storm days off.

work

IF electricity aint fly we are working but ussually take a bubble bath do my nails trim my ear hairs nose hairs pluck the eyebrows you know that kind of thing.:fart:

The only day long rain we have had in a year was from a tropical storm.
Normally if it is raining here, just wait an hour. Then you get to enjoy the real intense heat, once it stops raining. But it really does depend on the type of rain shower or storm as to if you can work in it or not.

Just throwing out ideas for what to do on a rainy day...

You don't trim your pubes? That's nasty! Glad I'm not your woman!

edit: ...or man.

if i demand a clean plate when i eat then i must return the favor.

rain sucks but once your underwear gets wet whats it matter. keep on going. its the lightening that makes me stop.

Here in Oregon it rains constantly fall, winter, and spring (light drizzle mostly). So everybody works as normal - else there would be no work done!

The exception is road paving work which they do in the summer dry season.

Loggers around here work in the rain, but stop working in the dry season due to fire danger.

No one uses an umbrella here. If someone is using an umbrella, we know they are from out of the area...
Same here, in the mighty PNW, I can't believe others in this thread.
People don't work in the rain?, holy f, what a bunch of pusseez.

Yes, I will melt. I am a good weather tree guy. HAHAHAHAHAHAH! Not so much me but the equipment, it cost a lot so I want to take care of it.
If I HAD to work in the rain I would get my worthless hide prepared to do it.
WHat are some of the things you guys do up there to protect your equipment? Does it last as long? Around here WE ALL are skeptical about climbing wet trees, it is very different than dry.
But another excuse for not going in the rain is that I had to underbid all my jobs so that means I have to get my chipper right up to the base of the trees to save time, can't drive on a wet lawn.
If I had to work I would, of course. But really there are tons of things I need to do on rain days that don't involve taking the trucks out in the mud. hell if that phone rang with an emergency I would suit up pronto cause that's fun.
Wait til Monday...split elm over two drives. Got a couple peices of big allthread holding the trunk together, she's very much alive .
