I am a noobie to fixing chainsaws but ha e worked on other small engines. I cleaned the carburater and fuel line. I am using a 2:1 fuel oil mix and still need to get the correct air filter and spark plug but after that I will be at a loss. I really thought cleaning the carburater and fuel line was gonna make it work because it was so dirty. Does thw air filter really make that much of a difference...also should I just get a spark plug or should I get its cover too. When I look in the cavity it's black and I just can't get the metal to reveal itself...the sides are clean but the like I said the cavity is black. Sorry if I'm missing any other important details but I am new to this and don't normally post to any forums but I really would like to get this chainsaw working due to it being my wife's grandfather's and would like to honor him by resurrecting her from the dead. Any suggestions and or parts advice would be greatly appreciated.
