Just call Rayco and find out.

Rayco dealers seem to come and go like the seasons. :)

Well, thats how i found out. When i called the number i have been calling for years. It ended up being rayco manufacturing in ohio. They were the ones that informed me of the closing. I guess now i will be dealing with a new rayco dealer in Mechanicsville, Va! :)

That's one thing I sure don't miss about owning my Rayco 1625. The dealer support. It was lousy on a good day. I ended up calling Rayco and getting a parts diagram sent to me on pdf and then when I needed a part I would take a print out of the pdf to the local dealer and show them and point to the part number. Wish I could have just ordered straight from Rayco like I can with Carlton.

(That dealer is no longer a dealer for Rayco here either. lol)

Not suprising, the last couple times I tried to deal with them it was like talking to Spicoli on Fast Times. They had no idea what I was talking about, said they'd check and call me back and never heard from them again. Good bye!

There's a bobcat dealer here in NoVa that took over their sales and parts etc. Another co. dropped them and Bandit supposedly because their support and distribution was so bad about not following through?

rayco, VA closing

As many of you know times are quite tough in the VA and surrounding area. Rayco and many other companies servicing this market have closed in the last several years and things look dismal for the future as well.

Rayco Cutters

Rayco grinders are admittedly pretty good machines, but as far as overall build, quality, durability, and customer support (out of the factory) Carlton still reigns supreme.

Not in this part of Va.? The eqpt. dealer that was selling Rayco and Bandit before they dropped them was selling so many units it was amazing, that's why I couldn't believe they dropped them both. This was 3 or 4 years ago too when things were still booming big time. We haven't had a forestry eqpt. dealer in this area for as long as I can remember. Wasn't because of lack of sales, this is a major metro area.

Thats what happens when you refuse to put remote controls on your grinders. If you don't listen to the desires of your customers they will go elsewhere.
