HI, I have a new Rayco RG66, but it's having issues starting up. It's 30 degrees, and I don't know if it is a problem with the starter ignition or if it is just because it is cold. I tried to start the first time and won't even try. Then I preheated the system and still didn't work. 30 Seconds later I tried it again and it tried to start and finally started up.

Similar issue was before and they found the ignition to be bad so it was replaced. Do you have similar issues when it is as cold as here?

I have a 2008 RG66 with about 300 hours on it. My engine starts right up even if cold. Sometimes it runs rough and smokes and I found that using Lucas diesel injection cleaner really cuts down on that. I had a 2002 RG50 with a 48 hp Duetz engine and that engine was the cats azz. Always ran good but was getting weak when I put 1,400 hours on it. I also have a 2006 Carlton 8018 with a 79 hp Duetz motor. Now that engine does not want to start when its cold even when using the glow plugs. It gets frustrating. Sounds like your situation. I know a competetor with a RG90 and he has many problems with that 90 hp Duetz. Maybe thats why Rayco is changing engine manufactures on some of their machines.

My 60 hp duetz spits and sputters when trying to crank it in the cold and I'm not really even IN the cold. It was cold here today at 44°. :)
