So to you its freedom that conmen who sell fake and illegal machinery are not reported to authorities? Again, great. 🙄 Its one thing to turn a blind eye when you see somebody selling fake watches when everybody knows they are fake but completely other thing to publicly defend actions of criminals who are committing fraud by selling fake goods as genuine to uninformed people. Its not freedom, its just dishonest and basically just reveals your morals. I am pretty sure your freedom as a concept does not mean freedom to commit crime and con people out of their money.

I am done with this issue. Back to actual chainsaw stuff.

Ps. about reality of freedom in the world: https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/freedom-index-by-country 😉 😎
Was it imported as a fake doubt it so then it wouldn’t be illegal trying to con someone is not right but the cops ain’t going to do nothing about it. And again it’s a chainsaw it’s not anymore dangerous then a Stihl as a matter of fact chainsaw are probably one of the most dangerous things anyone can own no matter the brand.

You really have to watch ebay for crap like this, and it's not just America. Last week a seller from the UK was advertising a "brand new 100% OEM MS660". I did the conversion and it came out to $1100.
Now for the best part. Right in the description it said the saw did not have a serial number because it was a dealer promo saw. Wow....just wow.

The world is full of cons and dirt bags.

It could be genuine OEM if the saw was built with genuine parts using OEM replacement crankcases, they have no serial numbers. I have seen many brand new saws built from genuine replacement parts up for sale. One needs to be diligent though for the copies being sold out there as genuine, the copies so far are easy enough to detect.

A model thats been discontinued several years and reportedly came from a dealer as a promo is a bit hard for me to believe, especially at that price point. I suppose anything is possible.
