Great old saws, that one is likely late 70s into 80s. They are 58cc I believe. Probably needs new fuel lines, filter, and carb kit.
Check out Leon's chainsaw parts and repair. He specializes in NOS parts for Homelite.

Great saws. There was a time when almost every shed or garage in this country had one in it, or a Poulan S25DA. They are great saws, well liked and respected with very few complaints. 58cc, yours looks like it was the tail end of the points era. That makes it more desirable than the later ones with the blue electronic module that is prone to failure. It’s not a rare saw, or collector saw for an investment. They made them for almost 40 years, they were made very well and reasonably priced so there is no shortage of XL12/SXLAO saws. Certain models a in excellent shape bring in some money. The very last ones in the mid 90s were branded “big red” or “old blue”.
I had sold mine but after seeing one in the movie “Maximum Overdrive” I wanted one to add back to my collection. Found one one street over from an old timer in town who bought it new. These HOMELITES are the saws equivalent of a square body Chevy.0FA9A69F-5487-4AD3-852F-022573FF2872.jpegBD9D7E18-8437-4926-8F4C-7874D6F5A7B7.jpeg
