simple green is all I use, generally if its really bad I mix in a few cups to a 1 gallon garden sprayer and spray down what im cleaning, let it sit for 10 minutes or so then hose it off, even stuff like exhaust soot comes right off, also ZEP spray bottles with 50%% simple green, and spray it on for the tougher stuff

plus its 100% safe, no chemical burns and won't kill plants, unlike the super clean I won in a giveaway, stuff ruined one of my shirts and burned the back of my neck with a little overspray

Only thing to add is that Simple Green isn't good for aluminum (if you have Al wheels, for example) - it can cause pitting. Generally OK if you rinse it well quickly. I use Simple Green Pro HD on Al as it won't cause those problems.

never heard of simple green pro, gonna have to try that, thanks!

Never had an issue with the normal stuff, but I don't think I've ever cleaned aluminum with it, I'm not fancy enough to have it on my trucks lol, one day!

EDIT: I was today years old when I found out simple green makes a BUNCH of cleaners, I've just been buying gallon jugs of the normal stuff and it's been really good, never thought I would get excited over a cleaner lol

Yeah...I first discovered Simple Green when someone recommended cleaning table saw blade with it. I had it in the garage stationary tub... which I never knew could look so clean! Use it on handsaw when they get gummy/sappy and it just wipes off after a little soaking. Use it for a lot of cleaning. Then I read how it can cause problems with aluminum. Never had problems either, but didn't want to so bought the Pro HD. I don't think it does a better job cleaning...just safer for Al.
