I removed this about a month ago along with 5 large white pines. A friend from work wanted to grow grass in his back yard and one of the White Pines broke off in a storm and landed on the house in the middle of the night. So his wife wanted them gone. The White pines were just climb and limb a little, install a pull line then notch, wedge, and pull with a continous rope puller. The red was limb, top, and lower in chunks. I wanted more pics of the actual take down but there was only Jeff and I. The rope puller is a nice peice of equipment very handy.:chainsaw:

P, I thought about a speed line but Jeff the home owner had no experience with that type of rigging so we kept it simple. On the second top he did not let it run enough and I got shook pretty good but it did not buck me. Jeff is pretty capable so after the swing he gave me we worked it out and he let them run alittle more.

Stihl, Yeah it comming along, I feel better all the time. We just did a medium size Ash leaning toward a paved driveway and it went real well. We were able to lower big chuncks right to the drive.:greenchainsaw:

Yeah Md, I didn't wreck anything and I didn't fall out of the tree so I'm calling that one a success. Thanks guys Mickey:cheers:

Looks like you did a good job, I've always wondered why people build decks around a tree then decide the tree has to go......
