guessing you meant "hang" glider? what did you mean by "gave the owner a spray"? did you take a leak on him? :msp_unsure:

Very cool video. I used to skydive before my wife and I had children. A couple of times I would climb to get skydivers chutes down. I bartered for skydives which equaled 4 jumps or $100. Tandem chutes cost about $2,000 new and other high performance chutes could be anywhere from $1000-$1500 new. The one I flew was $1200 if I recall correctly. It was allot of fun! Anyway this is something I forgot about so I will be offering this service along with others mentioned.

Nice job TL.
That is a RC Laser, the Laser is a popular aerobatics and racing plane.
I have been flying RC and 'free flight'(actually a heck of a lot of fun an a real challenge to get that plane back) forever.
I have yet to don the gear to rescue a plane, have climbed many trees just never had to revert to getting out the climbing gear.
Too rescue a plane like that I would, guess I have been pretty lucky so far.
Easily worth $600, when you add up the cost of the aircraft, the engine, either IC or electric(nowadays lithium batts have revolutionized electric RC, the run times have eclipsed the gassers), the radio system and the 6 or 7 servos to run the controls, if he is using quality stuff its a lot closer to 1000$. Seems like a lot, to the uninitiated, but one can get into RC flying for a lot less nowadays, you can pik up what the call a plug n play ARF(almost ready to fly, electric of course) for under 300-400 for a small plane you'd fly in a large park.
Again nice job TL, she was way up there, to get it down without a scratch is awesome, I bet the owners were very happy happy happy.

Im thinking that is exactly what he meant...lol.

only charged $100. it was worth it. no chip truck, chipper, crew, stump grinder, etc. and the story's worth a lot. it'll sure last longer than the cash.
Not too mention the word of mouth from the flier, and everyone he tells the story too.
Who do you think he'll contact should he ever need a tree trimmed etc, Im betting its you, the guy who gave them a great deal on the plane rescue.

pretty hard to fly. the cameras feed to the phone screen, and record to the flash drive.
any wind at all, and it could get hung easy, good thing I'm a climber....lol haven't had to retrieve it yet, YET....:msp_ohmy:
I cant wait to fly it over a swimming pool this summer....and scope the hotties.:hmm3grin2orange:
google AR drone, you can find plenty of vids to review quality...

The AR Drone looks pretty awesome! The heli I rescued was definitely similar, but bigger and with a less "finished" look. More like the quadcopter in this vid:
