I must be a little dense, cause I'm just not seeing how that is removable. :(
looks like the knot will fit the pulleys but remove the fs small ring, looks time consuming , double crotch will do just fine.

Novel, but I can remove a remote redirect with a pole pruner.

I'm glad this stuff gets shown, regardless of whether it becomes part of the bag 'o tricks.

Tm howd ya do that.. lol
Best to put a wire-raiser on the end of the pole(s). No chance of nicking your rope that way. You push your redirect sling until you can hook it and pull it off. Badda bing.

If you can reach your redirect with a pole, you're not really saving much... it'd be just as easy to go back up and get it as to drag a pole around a tree...

I rarely go up in a tree without a pole, unless it's an ornamental, or a takedown.

Tip pruning and deadwooding without a set of pole pruners is a day that I regret having forgotten to bring up the pole pruners.

The wire raiser, though, would have to be sent up special. No use I know of except distant rope setting, redirect retrieval or snapping off a score of long, dead limbs on a dead tree.

Haven't tried it yet but I am buying the set up to try it out. Looks like it should work very good. Will let you know.
I too never use a pole saw. Only about 1-2% of the time. Got cut once in my first 2 months and haven't messed with them since. You become a better climber if you need to go everywhere just as fast as the guy standing in one spot hitting everything around him.

Polesaw / Pole pruner

Either way.... climbing with either of them sucks royally.
I cant imagine dragging a pole around with me in every tree.

Id rather climb out to the ends and use a handsaw

OK, I see, and the ring is a the small 1 1/8".
But, if the pulley has a max rope diameter of 1/2, how is the knot going to (easily) pass through?
