Residential tree work in Anchorage?

What's the scene like these days in and around Anchorage? Me and the gf have been thinking about moving up there. We both have lived in Alaska (separately) before, but I wasn't an arborist back then. Any insight and/or info is appreciated. Thanks!

When I was in Skagway last year I noticed the arborists had an inovative way of getting rid of the stump. They simply ripped it out by the roots, stood it upside down and the property owner planted shrubs and flowers on it.
I posted a picture, but can't seem to locate it.

Summer is go go go. Unemployment in the winter sucks. So, I became an electrician.
