Rotax 400

Does anyone know if a 399cc Rotax would make a good Hotsaw engine or not? Any pointers on what needs to be done for clutch arrangements? Should I run 404 or 3/4? Any hints Robert?

Meth...is that a single cyl or twin?? Robs 325 is a single..(half a 650)....dont know much about rotax's...but i have a twin 440..

It needs to be a single cylinder and there aint no clutch...when she's on, She's on

Sorry for the delay in response guys. The engine is a twin with a single Tillotson carb. Sorry Mike this motor took some wheeling and dealing to get.
Rob, why does it have to be a single? Are there harmonic, cooling or weight problems? The engine isn't all that heavy.

A rules thing eh? Well it will be my first attempt at building a "Hotsaw" using something else other then a conventional saw to start with. I guess if I ever enter it into a competition I could run open class right?
