Just tinkering around. I needed a small addition to the bonfire area. The bonfire is how I grill my steak! It's nice to finally have a place to put things, it's much better than having cooking utencils and food on the ground. I cook breakfast outside there as well. Having a surface for "breakfast items" plus a place to put the cast iron skillet is nice too....

It's not a whole lot to look at, it's rough looking and it does the job just the way I want it to. It's really simple, and it's actually nice and solid. It's just nailed /screwed together, and I threw a coat of linseed oil on every exposed surface to help keep'er from rotting. I like how it came out.

I like that you found a constructive use for your edge slabs ... other than their usual fate as firewood.

make the legs a mite higher, and get some thicker slabs. cut the slabs lengthwise, and put back on like you have. instant seats to sit at the table--al least if the slab is thick enough to set your tush on--:greenchainsaw:
