who makes a good pair of "inexpensive"(not cheap and poorly made) chaps for a non pro cutting firewood etc as I'm not too keen on cutting up my legs

so you are putting a price on your legs i would buy name brand and well built which will probably be expensive

Most stihl dealers carry or can get chaps which cost the consumer about $49.99 for the homeowner version or $75ish for the pro version......Or you can try Bailey's which is a site sponsor

Baileys sells a full pant (rather than chaps), I got a pair and they are much more comfortable than chaps. I think they are kevlar too. $65.

Dean, I am considering purchasing a pair of those Woodsman pro pants you are talking about on Baileys site. Are they as easy to put on and take off over clothes/boots as they claim in the ad?

Tom

I just got them today! Better ask someone whos used them. I'd probably wear them instead of, rather than on top of, jeans.

I agree about not putting a price on my legs, just didn't know if someone might know of something of the same quality for a lower price, I guess that it's not worth saving $25 to get a inferior product in the grand scheme of things
thanks for the advice
