It’s mostly a couple diaphragms similar to a normal carburetor. Has a metering side and a fuel pump side with diaphragms and gaskets for each. That's good to hear! It felt like it did pretty good to me, but I haven't run it side by side anything but my dad's 046...Yes, the 044 can run very fast in softwood, as can the 462.
