Anyone know what the advantages of the revolution wheel are? Approx cost to convert an 8018? And is it true that Carlton makes their own Sandvik wheel?
I'm going to do something on 8018, the green teeth throw way too many chips! Any answers or suugestions would be greatly appreciated, can't afford to make the wrong decision here.

Have you asked New River these questions? They are a sponsor on here.

I guess i will try calling them, sent request for pricing a few times over past few weeks, no response? I would still like to hear what anyone that has done some grinding with the wheels input as well. Thanks.

I have converted my 7015 to the revolution wheel from New River. I was running greenteeth 1100's and loved them EXCEPT for the chips flying all over. I will say that I had a problem with sandvik long teeth losing carbide, but New River sent me new teeth and I have not had a problem. I will not run any other tooth design now after putting this wheel on my machine. Rocks do not seem to bother (chip) the teeth and it grinds smooth as silk. The Father at New River has been very helpfull and has always listened to my problem. It turns out that they had a bad run of the material that joins the carbide to the tooth. You will not regret buying the new designed Sandvik wheel from New River. If I remember without looking it up it cost $2500. That includes $125 for shipping to Mass by truck and spare teeth

Thanks for the info on the revolution. They are mailing me a promo dvd and i am considering changing from 1100 greenteeth as soon as i run out of teeth. unfortunately i just bought 60 new teeth in march during their sale. i love the speed of grinding with the greenteeth but hate the mess of chips sprayed 75' over the yard.

I'm anxiously awaiting a revolution wheel for my 7015. I'm switching from the duradisk2 over to the revolution as soon as it gets here. Already new river has been a pleasure to do business with. Chip spread is minimal with the other sandvik designs as well. I've never personally tried the green teeth system. Good luck with the conversion!

I ordered the revolution for my 8018. May convert the 352 over down the road a bit, caused the yellow jacket teeth just dont hold up. Will tell you now the 8018 is a grinding animal with the green teeth, but you end up cleaning up the neighbors yards too! Will post the results of the sandvic wheel upon instalation. Wondering if I should plan to replace the bearings as well? Machine only has 240 hours on it?

What did it cost you to change wheel and teeth? keep us posted on how it performs.

I will let you know how it grinds, should be arriving in a week or so.
