I'll trade all my saws and gazilion parts for your hummel collection, then I'll sell the hummels and buy twice the saws. LolWell it sure beats collecting Hummel Figure ens...:chainsawguy:

When asked what I spend my time on and I say chainsaws, the usual response is "it figures".
Is there a difference between a saw geek and a saw nerd?
Size of the saw. Length of the bar relative to the size of the saw.
It's meant in fun... not deragotory...
Ever get that weird look from some people when they ask you... "So what do you do in your spare time?"
...and you answer, "I collect chainsaws."
"You collect what?"
"Chainsaws..."
"uhh... ...Why?"
"'Cuz they're cool."
"Really? That's kinda weird..."
"Nah... everybody has their geekiness... this just happens to be mine."
I'm sure most of you have had a conversation somewhat like that...

It is kinda funny if you look at it. It is a chainsaw. A gasoline powered motor, driving a chain made to cut wood. I wonder if there is an electric drill forum, where guys take apart their electric drills, rewind the motors, time holes and have hole drilling GTG? Whose drill can turn the longest bit? Which would be better dewalt or milwaukee? I just dont think it would be the same.....
almost verbatim actually....to which was added
"tell her about the forum you belong to dear"
"well it's a forum where we talk about saws and every now and again have get togethers"
"well, what do you do at these GTG's?"
"we run each others saws"
"why, aren't they all the same? "
"aren't shoes and purses all the same?"
and it goes round and round.
Milwaukee....If I wanted Black & Decker, I'd buy Black & Decker....
BTW I got an 8 amp Milwuakee I'll put up against any similar sized Dewalt. I won't even use my race bits....
