When I started climbing I didnt use one. After 5 or 6 years I started using them and will never climb without one again. When Im decending on a log in a situation where I can drop em in sections, Ill make the cut, throw the saw, drop down, yank it back up and cut again and so forth. Alot faster than hooking it up and unhooking it from the saddle. But, in the bucket it just gets in the way. I worked for a guy years ago that wanted us to use one but it was just a hassle. It gets caught on everything, including the bar. It would get cut so I figure, why spend the $ on something thats just gonna get ruined?

I jumped from the Knuckel on the boom 25' or so landed in the middle of Grand ave. and hit the road running. had some guy from North Shore Gas co. try to help but he could not keep up got stung 24 times around the hard hat sweat band never counted the rest.
