My homemade version of the bungee type lanyard that the "other" arborist supply sells. Pretty cool. All i have to do is plug the conectors together after the saw is sent up. This is the only lanyard I have used that does not get nicked by the saw. It works with an 020 as well as an 046.

Thx bro! Feels good to finally post again. Thought I was through with climbing again. It's in me blood. Oh well.

I got to see hear my father's old drum chipper today. It has changed hands twice since he retired. Thought it was in the junk yard and was lost forever. That thing was built back in the 60's I think. Not pretty but strongs as ever. Like seeing and old friend. Spent many hours behind that chipper getting my a$$ kicked.

Tim Gardner,

Where did you get the parts to make that saw lanyard? Looks good!

Hi Rich. I found the conector and large ring at the hardware store. the tubular webbing at the rock climbing store and the flat bungee at wal-mart. I use braided nylon to stich it together. It took me a while to get all the mesurments right but i had a good time building it. Save yourself the headache and order one. :D You can order the part that connects to the saw separately if you have more than one saw.
