Why so much hate for the 362?? Ive never used one. As good as a 261 is we run 14" bars on a lot of our climbing saws so a 261 doesn't proivde a whole lot extra, but to jump to a 460 is a big step

I like my 362. 18" bar. Not all that heavy, and decent power.
Doesn't get used up a tree all that much, but a nice saw for bucking up small to med. size firewood.

I think I'd go crazy if I had to go from a 201t to a 461... How sharp are the chains?

I've changed a lot of things around, but my lineup for next year is...
Echo CS-271T (12") --> Stihl MS-201T (14") --> Stihl MS-261C-MQ (20") --> Dolmar 7910 (24" or 32" as needed)
It would be unusual for me to need the big saw in the tree, but it happens when we get big Cottonweed removals.

I like to hear of big saws going up trees. Tough on guys I know, but still high in bad-assery category. I flew a 441 in a bucket last week be cuz the 201T ran outta gas, so I grabbed the 441 to finish up and everyone acted like they'd seen bigfoot to see the biggest saw the county owns go up in a bucket truck

I dread the bigger saws in the tree, usually it's when you're already tired, unless it's a crane job, etc. Ms660 with a 36" bar is as big as it gets for us, I don't know how some guys run an 880 or a 3120 in the tree. Fook that! A nice powerful light saw with a 20" will do alot of the work I run into.

Cottonwoods... Separate the men from toddlers
Yup...... shite gets real in cottonwood. We have tons here. Everyone is always on about "Euc men" and "oak men" but I would bet my last dollar on the fekker 85 feet up a big ol nasty cottonwood with a woodpecker hole 30 feet below him.
