so far my favorite all round protective trousers have been a brand called S.I.P..there light and comfortable..worst were a cheap pair with no make on them though they resemble HUSKY pants there like having your legs wrapped in a duck down quilt and they chaff your thighs..

They were an exhibitor at ISA.

According to the rep I talked to, they meet European standards but have not been tested for US standards. In his opinion, the European standards are more rigorous with more realistic tests. For example, the pants are struck diagonally with a saw versus an unlikely perpendicular hit. That's about all I remember. Very flashy colors, too.

new zealand make some good ones, cant the US make any decent saftey gear???

Yeah man, NZ make some good pants, good prices to. (although I will need tree machine to back this up).

There is a company here called clogger which make a few different type of pants, you can get them with just the front protection and with wrap around. real comfortable and the new models arent as hot to wear.

what kinda thing are you after?

i have a pair of stretch air and they're the dogs bollocks

i've tried all the other trousers over the years and these win hands down

The best thing on the market is the Stretch Air. I have a jacket from them and will get the pants soon. The best period. Little use to the UK guys as they aren't to strechy in the new Class C version.

The normal ones with frontal protection are IT.
