the gayberr crane is aight. a grove stiffens me up a tad more though.

i think you can start to get close to the price around 15mil or so..... not sure but i think that may get you close.

it would bring a whole new meaning to 1 pick'n trees though.

The 550 ton Grove I linked to, which doesn't seem to be working, was listed at only 3 mil, 2 years old. Only 3 mil, betcha I'll never say those words again. lol

really? i wouldve guessed that thing to be astronomically high. i have a ball park number for the 115 around here and been hearing 100ton numbers too. any which way you look at it she a pretty penny and nevermind how much something costs to replace/fix on them donkeys......

3 mill for a used 550..... not bad, i guess. lol

lol. You got any experience with smaller, all terrain jobbies? Grove 2035 or AT422 specifically? They look more stout and maneuverable to me than a boom truck of similar weight ratings but I could be off. I bet replacement parts are real pricey too.

Trees don't pay enough to cover expense lol:monkey:

I've worked with them, and they are as good as any other crane, they cost more for a job because you need to have them trucked out on a low-boy. Makes for one more scheduling hassle too.

A friend of mine rented a big crane for his company. You could see it for miles, (Louisiana) It was $ 250 K per week to rent.

(It was impressive though.) :)

The ones I was looking at will roll at 53 mph, just like the 60 ton ones Dan Mayer runs down the road everyday. Slow, but not unmanageable.

Its a beast of a thing

Mods, please can you erase this thread.

If the Irish goverment see this crane they might just decide they need one,or possibly two,and I as a tax payer will have to stup up for it but not be allowed to use it:shame:
