mabe u post was to loggers . but most i
i know got a lite saw to pull out first ,
for a thousand and 1 different little things.

i've said many times, if i only had 2 saws it would be 020, 044.
From there the prefrence would go to ground or air, large or small wood.

i think the '44 is very good power to weight, and can carry ya from a very fast cutting, almost unstoppable 16" bar, to treking through 5' +diameter with a 36" bar nicely.

Hang Safe, Cut Safer!

Why do you think they call it a life-line?

P.S. Heck, Dang '44 outwieghs me as it is!
But at least in the tree i can be taller than the 36" bar version!

066 by a long shot. I like havin plenty of power. Nothing better out there in my book...

For an arborist/residential logger, picking a favorite is hard. All sizes of saws are needed.

Current fav's:

Husky 335XPT-W, starts/runs like a top every day/ all day, eats 020T's for breaky.

Husky 346XP-G w 16" bar, 3/8th pitch. Easily 40% over stock, cuts with an 044 in small wood. G=Greffardized

Husky 372XP-W. Faster than my 372XP-M. A match for my dual port muffler stock 066's. Both blow 044's away, including the old 044-M.

3120XP-G, fresh from beating a full race saw in stock appearing class at the Clearwater Revival. Hard to slow it down even with 42 bar on. pushing 14 hp!!

G=Greffardized
W=Walkerized
M=Madsen's Power Tuned
