This old Homelite XL113 was given to me Saturday, it came with a case, 3 chains & some tools. The guy said he used it years ago when he lived in Iowa to cut firewood. I put a new fuel line on it and it started right up and ran perfectly - no adjustments needed. I sharpened the chain and took it with me to cut some firewood Sunday, it starts, runs and idles perfectly! I ended up using it all day and despite the noise and vibration it's a real nice running saw. I checked it out on Acres site and it says it's 57cc - is this correct? it does'nt seem that big to me. Anybody know anything about these saws? The only thing wrong with it is a crack in the clutch cover, it does'nt really hurt anything but I'd like to replace it if I can find one. If anybody has one for sale let me know. Matt:rockn:

Nice looking saw Matt. Yep, these have the same size engine as a Super XL. According to the IPL, the 113, 114, and 122 use a Dykes piston ring. Also, to help in your search, the part number for the clutch cover is A-64620-1.

Good work Matt. Not just on finding it, but giving it a workout as well. It's good to give the oldies some trigger time now and then.

Good score!

If it ever gets too noisy or too vibratey or if you ever get sick of how easy it is to start or it just plain wont die, Ill be glad to take it off your hands.
