I've got a Scotty SS secondary furnace but I'm not using it for a secondary I'm using it by itself. Any tips on how to set up the blower and to tie in the cold air intake to this new unit to my existing ductwork?

Disclaimer , this is not an approved setup so this post is for entertainment only !

Been running my Scotty like that for about 5 years , I set it in the porch and ducted it into the house with a 12" duct .
I don't have any of the electrics hooked up , I set my draft manually according to what temps I want in the house .
The first couple of years I ran it with a box fan , it worked ok until -10C so I got a furnace blower from a small electric furnace , that one will move more hot air into the house and works fine to -20C as long as it's not windy .
I have to pick up a furnace blower from an oil fired , I'll pick the windings that I need for the outdoor temps .
My porch is unisulated but it has a 4" duct and will stay at 20C in the coldest days , I also leave the kitchen door to the porch when cold so that the air flows .
I should also poke another 12" into the house for better flow .
I hope that makes sense .
NB
Not CSA approved to run it like that so I would suggest that one should not do this for it is not an approved setup .
