And he's wearing his wedding band!

Ghillie, not yet but I did spend about 600 bucks on tree equipment today! I can't wait till it gets here! Woohoo!

LOL, that picture is funny.

Gloveless one-handing with his left in direct path of potential kickback despite good positioning for two-hands.

My buddy wants to learn how to climb so I picked up some Arbormaster w/spliced eye, blakes splittail setup for him.( this after he said he was looking at used rope on e-bay! ) I have been switching over to Velocity and Technora eye to eye with the distel hitch so I picked up 120' of that too with the spliced eye. I also bought a 150' hank of 9/16 Samson stablebraid on sale for the bigger pieces I lower. ( I take pretty small chunks and my blocks are for 5/8's max anyhow) It sure adds up quick! I am thinking that I will go with the screwlocks and Exotica swivel. A delta screwlock for my rope bridge to the swivel and an oval screwlock connecting that to the small pawl (3 hole) for double rope setups. If I am on a single line I will just clip the biner into the center hole and use the side ones for tending my rigging/accessory lines. I also bought a micropulley and a new petzl left hand ascender to replace the one I flattened with the truck: #@%*!!! Note to self: Check for gear when 4yr old son is playing with rope and stuff in driveway! I was looking at Fireaxemans setup pics and mine will be similiar to that ... and then of course reading everyones post is giving me new saddle fever...bad! Ghillie, you are looking at a new saddle aren't you? I thought I read that somewhere on here.

Woohooo!!! Sounds like christmas! Except your paying for all of it !!

Why did you decide on the delta link for the rope bridge connection?

Yep, I think my mind is set on the Ergovation. I got to talk to the guy that designed it Friday at a seminar North American Training Solutions put on for Findlay's Vermeer dealer. He showed me some of the accesories that will be available later this year. It is a very versatile saddle.

As soon as I upload the pictures to my computer, I'll get them up.

Used rope on Ebay?! Ouch!

I had to talk someone out of buying used gear on ebay a couple of years ago at a High Ropes training weekend.

My rope bridge is a loop of beeline through the d-rings and both parts of the line will go into the bottom of the delta side by side. I was worried that an oval one would leave the rope rubbing on the nut and fraying it sooner. I looked at the Ergovation, nice! I use a Weaver w/leg loops and about 25#s of gear hanging on it without the chainsaw! Been looking longingly at the Petzl Sequoia SRT but cannot justify buying one till I wear out the Weaver!

Sounds like a good call on the delta.

25# huh, I thought I carried alot! You must be a biggun' too.

The sequoia was in the running also, but the Ergo' is completely modular, meaning you damage/wear out your left leg loop, you replace just your left leg loop.

You'll have to post some pictures of your setup when you get it set. I've never climbed on a bridge but I want go that way. Tired of fighting the central attachment with my Variobelt while limbwalking.
