When I was 10 I could walk to the Clark gas station with my metal one gallon gas can. I could get a gallon of gas, a can of Lawnboy oil, a Hersheys bar and a Coke and get change back from my dollar.
Remember when the cost of sugar made a candy bar go from a nickel to a dime? Oh, the horror!

Looking to buy another tent garage . This one is a lot more than the Rhino shelter I bought a couple of years ago but it’s also 6ft longer 20x30 . It’s made in Canada with all Canadian steel and fabrics and has a much heavier metal structure with added truss supports . It will be 7k delivered to my door . I could buy a steel building for that but I would need permits and my taxes would go up . Here’s some pictures of the one I’m looking at I like that it’s rounded so I wouldn’t need to go out and rake the snow off like the one I have now

Just placed my order for a 24x30 steel building. Was $5300 and some change. Still have to tin the sides, amd front/back. So I'd say your not doing too bad with your tent shop.

It wouldn’t surprise me if some people are starting to feel the little pinch of debt service and need to offload excess material possessions. On a gun forum I frequent I have seen a huge increase of guns for sale in the classifieds.
Have the prices gone up or down?

@Kodiak Kid, So, I'm guessing you dont see too many Surfers? Seems Fossil Beach and Akbar are the only two places on the Island that anyone has reported surfing at. 11 spots down in Sitka.....

I do know the Rivermouths are pretty much the bestish opportunities, but you gotta be in the right spot at the right time with the bars changing all the time, and tide cycles having a big effect. I'd have to bring my own rubber, but boards are going to be expensive to bring, and I doubt rentals are plentiful. I'd be more inclined to bring them one way and leave (sell) them to the guide for his inventory.

The big question is do you see any Tidal Bores? I've surfed Oil tanker waves in the Gulf of Mexico, which was kinda ho-hum, until some LE boat ran out to our two boats and chased us off the bank. My Alabama friend knew the LE, and nothing came of it, its a bit of a small community out there, and he is a big wheel on the beaches with his businesses.

Wifey and I are starting planning for two trips out from now, and Alaska in summer 24 is where we are thinking. Headed for a long trip to Nova Scotia and back down the Seaway, and western NY and the west side of the mountains back home in an RV, flying up and taking over the RV from our friend the owner, who will fly home the same day and drive our truck back to her house a mile away, Puerto Rico in September for a 10 day at the tail end of Hurricane season. (we've been to PR an awful lot, we have friends there)

Nova Scotia is beautiful. The Cabot Trail is nice and Fort Louisburg is a must see.

Gonna have to think a bit about buying a battery chain saw. $5xx for a large Stihl. $3xx for a smaller. A baby one $270 with a 40 minute battery. I could live with that but an extra battery would bump the price over $300. A lot to pay for what looks like a kid's toy. Almost need a magnifier stand to see to file the chain.
I would be looking at whatever make of cordless tools you have. For me it's DeWalt. Then at least you can share batteries across the tools. Last year we bought a weedwhacker that came with a 9ah battery, so I'm thinking about getting a chainsaw just because. I know that battery will run a sawzall all day. Milwaukee makes a chainsaw as well. You don't need a pile of run time, anything bigger than 4" you'll likely be cranking the gas saw anyway. Half an hour run time if your clearing brush or limbing is probably 2-3 hours of work.

I hope so! I added 2 more to the collection this week.

The Glock 19 is nothing special but I’ve been wanting one of these Ruger SR1911 target models for quite some time. This one is a 10mm.

I have 9mm and 45c 1911s. I’ve never tried a 10mm or 40c before. what are the main differences?
