That's is sweet, has a nice stature!
My buddy has a nice one, not that old, use to be a municipality truck, maybe fire?, it's cool. Seen quite a few awesome rides out lately.

Wow, didn't get that warm here, but it's real humid, so 83 feels like 92 .
It was just sleeting here too. Only supposed to get up to 41, last night it was snowing, dang global warming.

Supposedly going to be nice this weekend . Sunny and 70s going to take the 68 to a local show it’s both Saturday and Sunday . Saturday is the better show streetrods and customs are allowed and it’s general parking. Sunday is AACA so none of them and you have to park by brand and model

Ducks Unlimited did wonderful stuff coordinating between US and Canada re: habitat for waterfowl. It helped the ducks a lot, but unfortunately helped the Canadian Geese even more, to the point they are now a significant water polluting nuisance. (and school tracks, etc.).

And the "greenies" again defy common sense and prohibit municipalities from capturing them and sending them to food banks.

Until they get so bad the city drinking water gets undrinkable . Then they will be shooting them . Couple of years ago I stopped on 55a after seeing a DEP cop with a high powered rifle shooting towards the reservoir. Early January and a doe had fallen through the ice . Bet it was real rip around April or may floating around in the drinking water .

I get that. When people tell me that 80k is a lot to haul(talking about semi's), I just laugh as I used to haul nearly double that every day for many yrs.

The trucks we drove in Iraq had a max weight with trailer of 137,000 lbs, and we occasionally exceeded that without problems. The tank hauler trucks would be in our convoys sometimes too. The empty weight of their truck and trailer was 110,000 lbs, and the tank is 60-70 tons. They were slower than us, and we didn’t like them in our convoys.

I saw a video one time of a guy teaching how to remove a rusted hitch receiver, it was basically surface rust .

I've got one I don't think is coming out...... Ever! This was the pin which took 30 minutes to get out!

I got the doctor's report on my last checkup. It is so unbelievable I just have to share it

"I am writing to inform you that your recent blood tests have shown no signs of anemia or infection. Your kidney function tests are stable,k Your liver function tests are excellent, Cholesterol results are also overall excellent."

I'm a lousy cook so my diet is a basic 'meat&potatoes' but I do eat a lot of fruit (2-3 servings/day) and nuts. It must be all the 'wooding' I do. On of these days one item will fail and that will lead to a collapse of everything else. At 88 I for sure can't complain.

Out to the willow bush in the morning. I bucked out 24 rounds of a woodcutters dream. Tree was a blow down with the roots still in the ground. I started with the 400 wearing a 20" bar and ending with 24" that didn't quite reach all the way through.

Pictures will hopefully come this weekend. I have learned how to download gthe camera but then I can't find the pics on the computer, they don't show up in the "picture" file - neighbor said he will be over this weekend.

I tried to edit it yesterday when I realized i hadn't explained the 'dream' part. Top of tree was on the ground. I figured as soon as I cut the top off, the log would drop. It didn't. 32' of log suspened a foot off the ground!!! Bucking just doesn't get better than that.

Came home after 3 hours of noodling and loading with almost a full load and 12 rounds still left to pick up in the morning. With those I'll be at about 3 cords harvested so far this spring - better than I expected. That willow bush contains a lot brushing, scrap clearing, etc and not very much harvestable wood. But then I keep telling mysels "it is for the healthy exercise"

I hope the neighbor shows up this weekend..
