I've been dismantling trees for 30 years..... pretty much nothing compares to this stuff....You ain’t kidding. That looks worse than hemlock.
Have fun!Hope everyone has a good weekend. Heading to the cabin for a couple days.
All I can do is wonder if that is how they delivered them back in the day. Thackers Casket has a building just up the road from me. I think they just built the truck for display at shows and advertising. I can't see them hauling something that expensive around in the elements. Plus, I've never seen them delivering them like that now?Looks like it's a casket delivery truck, although idk why they would haul something like that out in the open.
I've been amazed, that's about what it looks like in MD. I drove up to my place in WV to start clearing Autumn Olive, just the same. Got up just before sun up yesterday and I could smell the smoke. Pulled into the Dollar Store for some supply's and this was in the parking lot. Old Chevy's seem to be popping up all over! Our 72 12' stake body was a C30. Do you think that fender is a replacement with the 10 series badge on it. No way that is a converted 1/2 ton?Smoke is real bad today I just took this View attachment 1088410
Seems that when I go to a show it’s 80% Chevy trucks followed by fords then dodge . And maybe a Jeep here or there . Not saying they were better but maybe the owners took better care of them ? Oh right. Yeah that’s pretty shoddy packing! Glad it made it to you!Yes. I’ve bought about 5 of these big bore return saws as they are sold for about 1/5 of the retail cost and require very little parts. It could be clutch, piston, coil, and most are just simple carb ignorance from the original buyers.
My friend has a mid 80’s crew cab dually with 454 in his field. Unfortunately 1) he’ll probably never get it going and 2) the price he’d consider selling for indicates it was created from 24k gold.Seems that when I go to a show it’s 80% Chevy trucks followed by fords then dodge . Want a 2wd like that I have come to the conclusion that having a 4x4 that’s only used in the summer isn’t all that good. Sell my K20 and set up the dually for towing . I am really looking for a 91 big block with a 4l80e trans . The 80 was a brand new transmission option and not many had them . Not hard to swap one in though
He was saying his old truck was a 72 not the one pictured .First of all, that's not a 72, it's an 82, and the way that "10" is put on "crooked", I'd say it wasn't put on at the factory.
SO, I doubt that the fender was replaced.

Don’t want a crew cab . Most people think they a super collectible vehicle when in fact it’s a parts truck if thatMy friend has a mud 80’s crew cab dually with 454 in his field. I think you quoted the wrong person?Joe was referring to his c30....at least that's how I read it. Here's my '87 with some greenery and the presently only working motor on it.

For me, it would be very useful because I have five kids, four of which are still in the house. But I understand what you’re saying.Don’t want a crew cab . Most people think they a super collectible vehicle when in fact it’s a parts truck if that
I obviously knew it was a C10, but it was unclear to me about the 72... Yeaa the emblem is taped on (I've put them on myself) but I've not seen one of those put on at the factory that was put on crooked. In 82 I went to the GM plant and watched them build the square bodies, that was an interesting day for sure.He was saying his old truck was a 72 not the one pictured .
I would think the fender was replaced and they left the original emblems on it . The emblem used two sided 3m tape so it most likely is letting go .
And the truck is a c30 not a 10
Good grief...I can't even do quotes right.I think you quoted the wrong person?
Sorry for the confusion Rob. I didn’t say that was a 72. I said ours was a 72 C30. Ours was a Custom Cab, 350, 4 speed. All the Custom Cab option got us was an AM radio, power disc brakes, and power steering. The power steering was worth it. Our 68 C50 dump was a mutha to turn sitting still with a load of saw logs on.First of all, that's not a 72, it's an 82, and the way that "10" is put on "crooked", I'd say it wasn't put on at the factory.
