Next time consider bucking the broken top down before dealing with the stump. Lest ye kill yourself.

That is a very, very simple situation when done correctly.
I may get to deal with this little treasure tomorrow. Right over trail, dangling by a thread. IMG_20241029_112720638_HDR.jpg

I would give away nicer looking chains than that one.
Meh. If I was flush with chains I may have passed. I have enough to tie down equipment on the trailer and maybe a couple more. 15' with 2 grab hooks I thought was pretty good for $6. It's certainly not transport grade or anything.

Just being honest. I have 4 milk crates full that I pulled out of the scrap bin when I was flatbedding.

Got some more done in my 68 . Was able to get the ball joints removed from the spindle with this little home made tool . Put tension on it and a slight hit with a hammer and the joints popped . No whaling away with a 3# sledge .IMG_9309.jpegIMG_9311.jpeg
58 year old upper ball joints on it the lowers looked to be original also IMG_9312.jpegIMG_9314.jpeg

We have not had ANY rain here all October (luckily, we did up at the cabin, so my gutter collection system worked so we could do our projects).

Slight chance on Thursday, but we are getting very dry.
We were the same until the current, not earlier forecast, rain started falling this evening!

Driver side is all done new 2 1/2 drop spindles with disc brakes . No more manual drum . Total drop in front is 5 1/2 inches with the 3 inch drop springs and 2 1/2 spindles

Probably won’t clear the bollard bases with that set up… I still haven’t replaced the air dam on my car that I snagged when we were out there…. 😉
