Yep, my cutting season is over. I cleared about 1/4 mile of fencerow over the winter and spring, there were 300 some odd trees, mostly pin oak, sassafras, shingle oak, and some sugar maple, and a lot of cherry.
I ended up with one load of decent logs, 10 foot and over, and about 30 pick up loads of fire wood.
I finished cutting down some stumps sat morning as close the ground as i could without getting into the dirt. Man...they were running hot! It was about 80 degrees out.
Finished burning the last brush pile...dang, was thata hot one! It was rotten pin oak, logs, stumps etc...very toasty!
I will pull the saws apart, give them a good cleaning, and have them ready to go for fall. I might even build another 066 out of those spare parts in the corner of the garage, or another 036, thats a real tough saw.
Now its time to start stringing new fence since the line is clear...oh well, whats life without endless projects??
