We have done some work for these folks in the past. Got off to a slow start, lost a few hours on another project around lunch time picking up logs, taking pictures, etc. 4 black birtch and some saplings to go.
We started our advance at the foot.

The 4th black birtch to the right of the cherry. 20 inches dbh, I got about three real nice ten foot mill logs out of this job. But the most of the wood stayed, cut up, on top of the hill.

This one was interesting, I got a great log out of this one, we dumped the roots in the woods

Very nice pics. Do you mill them yourself? Looks like an awesome day at the park.

Sam has a portable mill he brings from Landsdale, tows it. This is his rig, he does all sorts of milling, his band saw makes quick easy work of it.

I saved these two for him. I would have to cut them to load them with the Dingo and he does a lot with stuff like this. He had better not forget to bring me my walnut boards for this.

I couldn't have lifted these nice sections here so I let them sit for about a month, now I can get paid. Glad I had the plywood cause that loader would have wrecked the place big time.
Where are you at in PA?

Mary Hill is the name of the road and it was a fun job. Each tree took about 15 minutes to turn into a pole. The two by the houses got zipped right to the chipper. I had a ton of straps but only two biners for the one with the funky roots. I strapped off five limbs per biner, took the top out with a tag line and sailed it right over the septic tank down the hill , smashed down in back of the chipper. Tied the zip line to the porty on the Dingo.
This stuff hinges well and each cut pruduced flowing water and loud bubbling from the juice perculating inside. Smelled like birch beer, can't wait to open up those logs but it will be awhile.
