Saturday May 13th is the annual Sequim Logging Show (ie: Irrigation festival)
Curious how many members from here plan on going. As far as I know there will be 4 saw classes. Unlimited, 6 under, 6 over and I believe that klickitsacket is sponsering a 5 cube and under class.

im working on an 044 hotsaw and a 181 to show. im sure one of them will be ready by the show. if Dean brings a hot 026 i would like to try mine against his. im planning for the 5cube, 6cube, OP, team crosscut and pole felling.

I'll be there. It's about five minutes down the road from my house. The climbing poles are up, and the aimed falling spars are standing ready to go. It's not a huge place, but we should all pick a place and time to meet up so as to no wonder around looking for each other. I've never met any of you...

Jeff

We will be there for sure. I plan on having my 044 with me as well. Yes Washington Hot Saws is sponsoring the 5 cube class this year. $100 , $50 and $25 for top 3 places. Stock appearing, no pipes, no 2 piece cylinders and must run on gas. This is to help try and get new people into the sport and give them a place start with out spending a fortune to get into it.

Daggum boys I have two saws I could run in the 5 and under gas and my buddy has one as well.:greenchainsaw:

Too late to plan the trip. Report the results on Hotsaws.

Dean.....So do all classes have to run gas? :chainsaw:

Thanks Dean!.....It would be nice to know the rules.....cuz who runs gas anymore.....Hahahahahahaha! Later Dennis

Hey DC, Lee Williamson is running the 6 over and under classes. Don,t know about fuel and two piece heads but they can be piped.

Dennis I do not know for sure. I am only sponsoring the one race. I hope to get a call from Kennedy tonight and I will try and get a complete set of rules for all the races.

Hey Dean.....Whazzzzup!......any news?

Cause I'd hate to see any of you Washington "Culls" win anything!....unless he was running one of my saws. Hahahahahaha!

Too bad they aren't Yankees then us southern boys could get involved in the grading.

Just kiddin' Yanks.

You guys do it weird up there. No Alky and a pipe. We do ANY fuel without a pipe.

The spectators can relate to a saw without a pipe better, so I like it here better.

I am currently starting planning for a 281 for the unlimited class to run against the 3120s and 088s on pipe. I am crazy ain't I.

Fred

Hey MR. whats Weird is any fuel in a 2 or 3 cube saw with a muffler, what the heck are you cutting, a stick of juicy fruit gum. And by the way your 281 would run in the open class NOT the unlimited class unless you can get more horse power out of it than the truck you drive to work.

As far as I know it will be as follows.

5 cube & under will be stock appearing no 2 piece head and no pipe. Gas only

6 cube under & over will be any production chainsaw, pipe and 2 piece heads allowed. Gas only.

The log is supposedly 17" for 5 cube and 20" to 21" for the sixes and is Douglass Fir

The unlimited Log is 28" Douglass Fir

:chainsaw:

Hey, all you sequim racers!!

I just wanted to see who set the show rules besides Lee Williamson???:buttkick: I talked wih Kevin Kennedy on sunday about the 6 under-over rules and he had no problems with alky!!!! I can understand Dean's view on the 5 cube class to try to get people into racing but as far as the 6 cube classes go let them be open!! The guys that are into racing and have split heads and pipes think they have a chance to win something if there is no alky!!! I was planning on heading up to the show but the guys that have them real fast gas saws don't want to have the chance of an alky saw coming into town and maybe winning again!!! :bang:

Later, T.J.

T.J.......This is typical of the west coast shows. Once you beat these guys....they don't want you to come back. These type of guys run the same saw year after year, they never try to improve it, and try to change the rules as soon as you kick there a$$es. You know what's funny.....they run unlimited hotsaws....but don't want you to run anything but gas in a chainsaw......Hahahahahaha! Screw Lee!:chainsaw:

T.J. won the hotsaw at Sequim last year....running alkie.

I'm also ok with Dean's rules in the 5cu class....but not in the open hotsaw.
