I'm new. Who sharpens Vermeer 252 teeth? or are they worth sharpening?
Where can I buy new other than Vermeer? Is it cheaper that way?

Are the 252 Teeth Straight shanked with the carbide brazed on the end?

The carbide tips can be sharpened, with a special grinding wheel. You need to wear a respirator when you do it as carbide dust not healthy to breath. A member on this site DeMott Tool can also retip your old teeth for much less the cost of new. There are other tooth options available for your grinder, do a search on site for names like Rayco teeth, green teeth for some info on them. Wecome. :)

I have a 252 and use Rayco Super Teeth. I think they cut a little better than the two-piece teeth and they're quicker to change out. I sharpen them myself on a big 10-inch grinder with a green wheel. I'd like to find a cordless hand grinder with a carbide grinding stone so I can sharpen dull teeth in the field without taking the teeth off wheel. I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for. Anyone have any idea or recommendation?

I'll sell you some

I have a bunch of new and slightly used 252 teeth and pockets that I'll sell reasonable. If interested, give me a call at 605-228-9350
