yep ,i have seen it worn so bad ,it really should not have been able to function, but. last week i picked up a pioneer farmsaw .
the fellow thot he got me good on it ,,and so did i at first.he put somethin on the sprocket so it wood turn the chain, when cranked.. but that gave it up quick...
it would absolutely not turn the chain when applied to wood. he probably thot,he couldnt get the sprocket[or mabe he thot the clutch was shot as happens with a car]. turned out
the sprocket was so worn out ,,as to appear to be split dn the middle of the teeth. never seen nothin like that before.
new sprocket and reconditioned chain ,
and this one ,i believe is in the class with the other 65and 70 cc saws ive handled.. pretty heavy tho . mabe 16-17 or more with chain and bar. oughta be a real good buckin saw.
i think this is just another situation where arborsite saved the day ...as it was obvious his dealer had told him parts weren t available. at least that was my guess.. but they are ,,arn t they pioneer.
ps really love that no compression when cranking feature.
danged is thing i ever seen.
