should i buy another top handle saw, my echo 330 t is down and at the shop, it will be days before i will get it back, the 360 is the same saw except its about 4 cc more , the 341 is less wt. but hold less fuel, about 1 cc more, i also what to know if having air filter on the front of the 341 , was a problem ? is the digital ignition better than the slope advance, with pump ? the 341 and 360 are the same price . thanks for any info.: chainsaw:

Had a 360 till it was stolen and replaced it with a 192 which was close ot the same cost and a better performer IMO. I didn't mind the 360 just lacked in the cutting speed dept, pretty much like all echos, No offense.

Well owning a 330t I would agree with Fishercat. Get the 192t, my 330t gets used as a backup or a second saw for my other climber. The 330t cuts decent for the price but the dependability is questionable. I dont like the tensioning device, any bit of pinch on the bar seems to make it not function well. I have had to actually mickey rig mine because the gears dont mesh correctly and it makes me nuts when I cant get the chain tight. The 192t will be much more trustworthy. Or consider finding a 200T used (in good shape) for around the same price and dont look back.

Yeah, you'll really like a 200T. You'll miss it once you work with one.

well guys,my echo is still in the shop, so i am useing a 192 , i can not wait to get my 330 t echo back , the 192 once its warmed up it will start the first pull, the echo take's 2-3 pulls, thats the only thing i like about it over echo.

how about the fact that its not in the shop. Speaking of which what was wrong with the echo? I trade you my back up 200T for your 192????

first of all the 192 is new and not mine, the 192 has to small of a gas tank ,and it dose not out cut the echo, i think some thing in the carb, ?

Once muffler modded the 360T isn't a bad saw. I would give it a better rating on the quality side against the 192T!

I hope they improved the chain tensioner or else its very cheaply made and fails quickly

<--- 330T chain tesnioner is junk

I am faced with the same question, which one the 341 or 360t both are the same price but I have found quite a few bad reviews on the 360t and none for the 341. Is there any dealers or members on here that have run both side by side and have a real world experience on how these models stack up against each other. P.S. there is no reliable stihl dealers around here so the 200t is not a option.

i was going to get a solo 637 it has 40 cc, it's wt, is a little more, but no one arond here to work on them , and also looked at th domar 3410 with a 34 cc, do have a dealer close by on them, any info on these ? thanks

I have a 330 but have used a 200t and a 637 and I vote 200t, pricey but I liked it best. From what I have seen the solo makes more power then the echo but from my experience I would go echo. 200t or 192t will be my next top handle.

What did you think of the 330t

I personal like my 330t's, they are great saws but there is better out there. Regardless of what anyone says I personal believe that dollar for dollar they are great saws.Unlike a 200t they are a bit underpowered, I run a 10 inch bar on mine and don't like running any thing larger on them. If I need a bigger bar I use another saw, the 330 will run it but when you have 16" of chain in tree the saw seems way to under powered even with a muff mod. Stihl o matic seems to have had issues with one but I haven't yet, knock on wood. I also have ran a 360t but both echos seam about the same, the 360 has a little more torque. If service is that big of a issue for a stihl then go with a echo, take care of it and it will be a good saw for you. If you get a 360t let me know, my boss uses them with no lanyard. So hes got 5 or 6 parts saws in a box he would probly let go of real cheap, All droped with busted case parts and what not. Like I said my next is a 200t, just kinda waiting for the echo to go.

I don't have much info to help but if you can afford a Stihl 200? I would go for it. I've always had the Echo 3000cs and I've had a Echo 330t for the last couple years. The old Echo's felt better in the hand to me and aside from a touchy motor that always needed adjusted the saw was tough as nails. That newer 330t I've had over the last two years keeps snapping the rubber handle isolators and one time it ripped the rubber boot that keeps the carb attached to the motor. It's heavy and bulky and not very strong. I like the Stihl 192's but the fuel resevior is pretty small and it lacks a little on the power side, but this guy had a 14 or 16" bar so maybe that didn't help it any. I've been useing a Stihl 200 this summer and really like the power, the fuel capacity is decent, and it handles good, but the boss man said it cost something like $600 and those flip up gas caps don't work half the time, so I guess that's why I've always had Echos. I guess if I was in the Market for a new Echo, I would go for the bigger one if it doesn't weigh too much more. For me, I'm still useing steel snaps and a heavy rope so if I needed to shed some lbs off my gear to compensate, it wouldn't be too hard or I guess I could eat a few less cheeseburgers a weeks to compensate for a heavier saw. Good luck, and hopefully somebody will chime in with real experience between the two saws you mentioned.

i almost bought the Dolmar.

the echo 330 and 360 are the same weight, dose any one run a dolmar t handle ?

went to the dealer and held it.it felt nose heavy like the husqvarnas.i didn't buy it.the crane guy i use has the Dolmar.i have never seen him use it.he always has the MS 200 in his hand.

Stihl doesn't hit a home run very often but they sure did with the MS200t.i will give credit where it's due.

as far as top handles go,there is the MS 200 and everything else is substandard.
