should i sell my trusty MMed 530 echo chainsaw to get a new maryann 51v / dolmar 5105 clone?

or should i just keep the echo??

or just sell the echo and pocket the money for the important things in life like ammo and beer???

I've said this many times over the years: Echo stuff is great to use, easy to work on, but terrible to sell. Generally doesn't hold much value for resale. I say run it... unless a box of ammo and a 12 pack is just irresistible. I'd bet about the same holds true for those Maruyama saws. Solid tools, but pathetic resale value. Heck, they're cheap from the get go.

I got rid of 1 CS-490 and kept 1, then bought 2 MCV51. As for ammo and beer, both can be technically classified as "single use". The saws are used more than once.

Do my math, I'm now +1 on saws. Building is for those that never had a stroke and now have hand tremors.

Those Echo CS 510 520 and 530 saws are really good runners with a muff modd and tuned right, you'd just be gaining weight with the Dolmar. Steve

i should have bought one months ago-- for $200 less

$500 will buy a lot more saw elsewhere.
