I bought a fiskars maul a couple of years ago and love it. I have essentially retired my others. Considered buying a splitter, but with that maul and the straight wood I cut, I think it would be a waste. Maybe when I get older.

Here is the Lopi Liberty that has heated our house for the past 3 winters. This thing can really throw some heat when we need it to.

Function is beauty, and that looks beautiful to me. Nice clean stand off wall, well seasoned wood, tools right there.

My Kozy Heat 231 ZC. Currently keeping 4000sqft around 69 F and it’s -20 out. Reloading about every hour!

FWIW, Scout and I cut and split between 12-16 cord per year with the Fiskars x27 splitting ax. And, at my advanced splitting age, I have no plans on buying a splitter - probably not enough time left in the wood to amortize the cost of one.
