Hey
My brother and I have started up a side business in patterned concrete. He is a concrete finisher by trade but work's in a Honda plant. Neither of us need to do this but it helps pay the bills and it is fun.
Do any of you do side businesses(spelling)?

Not yet. Would like to have a sawmill to play with, got free logs:). And enough rental property to pay the bills and a little leftover. Of course rental property would mean getting into landscape maintenance. Just a twisted plan to get out of mowing the lawn:p

My bro-inlaw just started high end garage floor coatings. Anti microbial pretty stuff. Looks lucrative.

Are you re-covering existing concrete or pouring?

I do a little mech engineering work on the side. Just can't stand doing it full-time anymore.

Besides, AutoCad is a PITA on the eyeballs.

Eye splice rope. It's fun, pays a few bills here and there. And it gives me an excuse to buy more rope!

I started working in tress as a side job to cover xtra expenses.

Now I do the other stuff to cover xtra expenses from my obsession for climbing and trees.

The side job of climbing and trees has become the main thing. Strange.

That is some fun stuff, I've taken down a couple small garages for people. Love it! They used to call me the Master of Disaster.
Maybe I should start advertising demo work too.
