Some time ago, I read that Husqvarna Models 50,51 & 55 Depending on Year and Production Date shared in Many Cases Pistons, Cylinders, Crank and Carbs with Several Saws in the Partner 500 Series or Partner/Pioneer 5000 & 5500 Models. I have a 1990/91 Husqvarna Model 55 c/w: 46mm Cylinder & Piston Assembly which is an Open Port Assembly. Could anyone advise which of the Partner or Pioneer/Partner Models may have the Same Set up. Also, if i Read this Article Correctly,it also stipulated that Husqvarna Models 61, Rancher, Practica, 66,162,266,288, 272XP as well as Jonsered 625,630, & 670 all une similar of the Same Cylinder/Piston Assemblies (Depending on Bore Size). Can Someone Describe Application Differences in Terms of What will Fita 1990/91 Model 55 c/w: 46mm Bore

So I have great appreciation of the 55, 353, Poulan Pro 325 saw group. Fabulous firewood saws.

Do research. Are many useful comments in 350/50/51/55/346xp conversions. I can't locate the specific 46mm discussion but enclosed key notes (apologies that I can't credit original author)

Here on AS: look at...

Search topic on another forum title: "Re: Poulan Pro 325 IPL & Parts" 2019. There are 3 models Electrolux that used 46mm in that discussion.

The 55 & pp325 Piston & Cylinder Assembly don't exchange. Must be both 55 or both pp325.
.. pp325 Type I is closed port 46mm
.. pp325 Type II is open port 46mm
.. see IPL for pp325. P&C are extremely rare. Never seen offered. About must know someone that's a Partner collector. Occasionally a pp325 saw comes up for sale but $400+ asking. What I've noticed is KY/IN/OH/NY regional thing. The pp325.

I've read some statement or conjecture that Stihl 028 Super 46mm might be convertible. Not sure as per below uniqueness.

PP325 vs Husq 55 P&C
1. pp325 Heat Isolator 0.077" (places pp325 case at normal deck height of 51/55, 490, or 5000)
2. pp325 Piston Rim to Pin +.065" also (difference 3)
3. pp325 jug 0.093-0.094" deeper to squish band.

Again, others have contributed the above. Just notes I've kept for recall. Thank you goes to them.
