I recently purchased a skyworker 1945A bucket truck and the controls in the bucket are not hooked up. Could someone with a bucket truck like this E-Mail me some pictures of the bucket controls that show where the 6 incoming low pressure lines connect to the control panel. Thanks JAKJR

Bucket

Mine was wrecked last night, so a picture won't help you, but I do have a manual for the Skyworker. Also, I am in need of an entire bucket and controls.

How thick is that manual? Would you be willing to part with it for a while so I could copy it or scan it to be available electronically? Or do you know of a source for a manual for the Skyworker 1045c?

thanks,

Rod

Manual is about as thick as a magazine. I suppose one day I should scan the entire thing and post it somewhere... in my spare time {sarcasm} :msp_wink:

What, you have not found some spare time yet ?

I got a bit lost in other things myself.

If you are still there, maybe I can sweeten the pot to get hold of your manual to scan, or a copy. I have what looks like a safety check off list for the rig ... man, a lot of steps. Or maybe a bribe of a fifth of Jack or Jim?

thanks,

Rod

Motor blew in my F700, which has my skyworker mounted on it. I bought a newer truck with an Altec LR-3. Very nice! I am considering selling my truck as is or putting another motor in it. I am broke, but leaning toward finding a motor: tranny already rebuilt, rear end already rebuilt, hydraulics reworked, upper boom cylinder rebuilt... All it needs is a motor and some brakes. If anyone wants it for parts, message me to see if I will change my mind. Thanks. Oh... and I will get that manual scanned in, but if you tell me what you want, I cold get those pages to you much quicker. Thanks.

Good to see you are still there and hope things start looking up for you.

How much can I expect to pay for the upper boom hyd cylinder rebuild? Mine has some rust pits through the chrome, but otherwise works. Of course being here in So Cal things probably will cost more. I would need the procedure/settings for the cables as I believe they will need to be loosened to remove the cylinder (depending on estimate, I may have the people rebuilding the cylinder do the remove/replace/bleed).

I am mostly looking at routine maintenance items such as where all the grease fittings are located, bleeding the main hydraulic system (need to change the filter because I have no record if/when it was done). Any other routine maintenance?

Do you have an interest in the big safety check list? It is on my lower priority list to scan it so it can be emailed or burn cd.

thanks much,

Rod

Parting out my truck. I bought another one, so this one can go. If you need parts, let me know. It is a 1978 Ford F700 with a Skyworker A Boom and chip box. Everything works except the truck engine. Rebuilt hydraulic cylinder (upper boom), rebuilt rear end, rebuilt tranny, and more. Take the whole truck or tell me what part(s) you need. Engine could be rebuilt, but I have little interest in doing so.
