skyworker hydraulic temp question and hose replacment

I have a skyworker boom and I had a hydro line bust inside the boom that operates the ports on the bucket for saws. due to the complex work to replace it I blocked the 2 hoses off at the hydro block at the base of the boom. my questions are. 1/ my hydro temp seems to get hot quickly and I wonder if its because I have both of these hoses blocked off and its not circulating properly.
2/ what is the best way to replace these hoses that run all the way thru the boom. thanks a lot for any help

Tie a rope to the old one, pull it out, get new made, use rop to pull it through.
