I am looking to make a few of those chairs that are just 2 pieces of wood. One piece goes through a rectangular pocket and the backside touches the ground and the vertical pieces bottom touches the ground also. I know this much easier to build than explain. I am just looking for lengths and how high to cut the hole for the seat slab to slide through. I dont know how to attach a pic or I "wood".

you might want to try posting on "chainsaw" alot more viewers over there and those chairs were there a few months ago, posted by somebody from germany I think... try a search?

Is Slab Chair the right name for them? I found it. Its called an African 2 board folding chair.

I did try to search for them ,but didnt know what too call them. I called them like 3 different chairs.
They look great. I did make one last night out of white pine. Pretty easy and you get a cool look on the porch. How high up from the bottom do you put your seat hole cut? How long do you make the seat board if you have a 12 inch seat? I am going to seal with linseed oil. Is that a good idea?
I want to show friends, but I know they are going to want some.
