I was wondering if this would be ok since the bearing sits deeper and the chip is on the edge or should I replace it i really dont have much money to throw into this 372xp but everything else is fine

I would try to smooth out that chip with some 220 wet/dry and clean the seat out. Then, heat the bearing seat up to 300* and drop in a new bearing. Should be fine as long as the seal pocket is ok.

That pock is corrosion.
The spun bearing resulted from bearing hammering, or an out of balance pto....or (running an overly too tight chain over a long period of time). I have a process for fixing these, and them lasting for years.
Involves razor blades, green loctite, and a propane torch.

I don't think the bearing has spun, the pocket looks too clean. The marks look like what happens when a crank stuffer starts to fail and scrapes the casing ( not sure if this model has crank stuffers?)
372,s don't have stuffers- probably a chunk of piston, bearing cage, ect or could have been put together from a previous buiid- wonder what the other half looks like
