Cleaned up some storm damaged oaks and removed a 70' standing dead oak. Rope man(67 year old supposedly 40 year tree master) Almost busted the top out on me me due to not tightening the rope before me cutting the branches. I tell him pull it tight he says it is...Thankfully we only rigged 5 branches down before sending a big top. Same job site we have a big live triple pin oak to remove august 8-9th. I had to call my brother in on it to just run ropes. He's got a knack for it. Seems wrong making a 67 year old guy feed the chipper but he just doesn't get it when it comes to running ropes. He did take some pics today so I'll post them when I get them. He didn't get the top coming down since he was lightly pulling on it. Pics comin

Yep. I had a 19yr old running ropes for me on Thursday. Over a house, fence, wires. Every log seemed to drop 10 extra feet before arresting. Thought he was gonna snap my line. Because of it, I rigged several in 2 peices where I would've sent just 1 with a more alert groundie.
He also took forever when lowering, instead of letting it run once clear. Just thankful to be done with that one with no incidents.
