boy i nearly blew it tonite.. young girl was tryiing to start a blower.in helping i found it was out of gas .. so she went to fill it up.. im half way dn an isle when it hit me.. i go running back and sure enough shes just emtied last summers mower gas in it..
looked like sewer water.. they had a small container of mixed off to the side [not marked]..
i was glad i caught the problem in time ,,but gotta say stupid management of her department.. they probably woulda made her pay for it too. jmo

Tony, your thread reminds me of the time I walked into, I think, a K-mart, mabe and Ames store. This was years ago. They had somes small chainsaws for sale. They had one on display, asking full price, for it. I picked it up and could see that it had a bit of use. Removed the gas cap and you could, of course smell a gas oder. Removed the oil cap and bone dry. Couldn't see any oil on the bar or chain and the chain needed some touch up work, or be replaced. I found out later, that the saw had been used to cut up a bunch of pallets. I put the thing down and walked away. Should have mabe dickered with them, but did they know enough as you say to put oil in the gas or what kind of crap gas, did they use. Didn't know enough to put bar oil in the tank. Probably, wouldn't know enough to use the oil plunger to lube the chain. Guess you never know, buyer be ware. Lewis.
