Here's a couple of pics from Monday morning. Old Norway Maple cracked off from the wind resting on the neighbour's house, we rented a 40T crane which is 8'6" wide and shoe horned it through a 9' gate

Some real work pics! Cool. I have to ask, what's with the chains though? There's gotta be a better way.

Proper lifting chains work slick. The ones we have, have a ring in the centre that attaches to the hook. Then there are two 20' lengths (arms) from the centre ring. Also attached to the centre ring are chain hooks (slotted eyes) that allow each arm to be adjusted as required to balance the load. The hooks at the ends of the arms, have larger openings and allow chains to cinch around the load.

Sounds heavy, but I get what you're saying.

i like the chains if i'm working from the bucket easy to adjust and easy to attach, im not a big fan of eye and eye slings i find it a pain to get the set right, i much prefer the the bag slings when im climbing, i used the chains on the other thread while i was climbing and it sucked but the 90T doesn't have much use for small slings.
